After nearly 40 years of being a die hard Cubs fan, I finally made it to Wrigley Field!! I was in Chicago attending a couple of trade shows and the Cubs had a night game against Seattle. Rich Hill was on the mound and the Cubs got out to a quick 2-0 lead, but Seattle reallied for one run in each of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th innings to take a 3-2 lead. The Cubs tied it in the 8th and it went to extra innings. The person I was attending the show with went mostly as a favor to me and after the 12th inning we decided to leave to get some dinner. We had just gotten seated when Seattle scored 2 runs in the top of the 13th to win the game 5-3. this wasn't the outcome I was hoping for, but the experience of finally making it to a Cubs game was satisfying enough for me! Hopefully it won't be 40 more years before I make it back!
